Adam West Wanted To Play Batman Like Eroll Flynn

Adam West Wanted To Play Batman Like Eroll Flynn
Who was Eroll Flynn? Eroll Flynn was known for
his fast past sword fights, as a swashbuckler. This is
the style he wanted the 1966 television Batman. Yes this
The Batman, Adam West wanted to play. For years ones
have said Adam West could not act. You're dead wrong.
Did you know the 1969 James Bond movie Her Majesty's
Secret Service, when Sean  Connery hated You Only Live
Twice in 1965.(He hated the lady actor he was to pair with.)
(After this Sean Connery would never play James Bond.)
(However in 1986 Sean Connery came back to played the
(James Bond character. It was the last time forever.)
So the first choice for the new James Bond actor was none
other then  Adam West. Yes we are talking 1969 movie for
James Bond. They would have never offered the part if he
couldn't act. Go see Bonanza. You find Adam West is a real
gun slinging cowboy, that can fire a gun. He is a great with
handling a gun. Instead the producer wanted him to play

a square. It was to be done in a slap stick style. So he was
force to play Batman square instead of a quick pace hero.
Just think what Batman could have been like. Fast paced
action with a element of danger and intrigue, with a cliff
hanger to see if he would survive. While using his wealth
of knowledge to defeat his foes, and at the same time build-
ing his Bat-cave with all the weapons and his special car
called The Batmobile to defeat the villains. He was able
to defend himself in any situation. For years he would get
himself ready, for the criminals he would fight. He would
strike terror in his villains for causing his parents death in
front of him. It was for that reason, when he fell into that
bat cave full of bats, and knew how that could frighten any
young boy; that he decided to call his name Batman. With
the vow to avenge all criminals for taking his parents

life. This is the Batman, Adam West wanted to play. A fast
paced dark knight, using his real skills to entertain you.
Adam West was also in Perry Mason A clip is second
from bottom. Adam West and Burt Ward did most their
own stunts since the stunt men were always going out to
lunch. Adam West instructed Burt Ward to time the stunts
so no one would get hurt. Adam West, I seen you fire a gun
as a cowboy. I'm sure I wasn't around that gun when it fired
in Bonanza. You would make a convincing cowboy.
After doing more research, Adam West wanted to play
Batman slapstick style. He said he needed to know how it
would work with his Co-star Burt Ward as Robin. The
chemistry was perfect with the two of them. He said before
when offered the part: " I'm a serious actor in Spaghetti
Western movies. If it didn't work out he would return to
them. ( Adam West was in Rifleman twice if not more.
The story I thing of is he knows to handle a gun. You do
see it that episode. He promises to be own good behavior
while staying with the  boys father (actor Chuck Connors)
   he honors is word.
Adam West always treated children properly in Batman
and real life. He didn't to be a bad example for them or his
  conscience would bother him.
